    CHENEY — A resolution to accept $3,495,491 from the American Rescue Plan Act to relieve economic pressure produced by COVID-19 was unanimously approved at the June 22 City Council meeting. The city will receive an initial payment of $1,747,745 and the remainder of the balance will be collected one year later.     CHENEY — Cheney-based trucking company System Transport was selected to haul the US Capital Christmas tree to Washington DC for the 2021 Christmas season. Originally founded in 1972 with one truck and one trailer, System Transport has now developed into an industry leader with over 1,000 employees and 800 trucks.
