    CHENEY—The fourth Quad-Duel GSL track meet held at University High on Thursday, May 5 didn’t produce as many favorable results of the previous three. That’s due in part to Head Coach Derek Slaughter and his staff deciding to use several of their higher scoring athletes in different roles.     CHENEY—The Cheney track teams came out victorious in their third GSL 3A/4A Quad-Dual meet of the season that was held at Cheney High School on Thursday, April 28. The Blackhawk boys squad got past Lewis and Clark, 74–70, beat Ferris 76–69 and lost a close one to U-High, 72–64.     The Blackhawks found much success at Rogers High School on Saturday, April 23. Coach Derek Slaughter had high praise for both the girls and boys team.     SPOKANE- Tayshawn Colvin scored a game-high 28 points and the Liberty-Spangle Lancers got past the Brewster Bears, 64–55, at the Spokane Arena on Saturday, March 5, to claim the school's second state championship. Liberty was 1-2 against league rival Colfax and defeated No. 2 ranked Warden in regional action, handing the Cougars their only loss of the year.
