Robert "Bob" Edward Hinman

Aug. 13,1939 to March 19,2024

Robert (Bob) Edward Hinman, born Aug. 13, 1939, passed away peacefully March 19, 2024, leaving with love from his family in Spokane, Wash.

Bob was a geologist with degrees in earth science and general studies from Montana State.

He worked with mining companies throughout Alaska, Idaho., Montana, Washington, Nevada. and Utah. His passion for geology came through in his love of collecting precious stones and passing his knowledge to his children and grandchildren.

He was preceded into heaven by his parents, Edward and Dorothy Hinman of Bozeman, Mont., and his step-daughter and her husband, Kathleen and Elson Rudisill of Evansville, Ind.

He leaves his wife, Verona Hinman; son, Edward (fiance JulieAnn Wright) Hinman; brothers, Jim, Dan, Tom and Dave of Montana, four step-children, seven grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Bob was buried at Greenwood Cemetery, Spokane on Wednesday, March 27. A memorial service for family and friends will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Spokane, Wash.
