Kenneth O. (Kenny) Laughlin

Kenneth O. (Kenny) Laughlin passed away at home, after a long illness, on Oct. 28, 2023.

He was 75. Kenny was born the 5th of 6 children on Feb. 29, 1948 in Massillon, OH.

His parents were Sylvester and Helen O'Donnell Laughlin. He attended St. Barbara's Elementary School and Tuslaw High School in Ohio. 

Starting in 1968 Ken spent the next 26 years living in Ariz. Construction jobs included highways in northern Ariz., Central Arizona Project canals, and swimming pools in the Phoenix area.

Before moving to Washington State in 1994 he worked installing and maintaining jet ways at several large airports.

Ken worked at Eastern Washington University in the maintenance/custodial department until his retirement in 2013.

Kenny's loves included family vacations, camping, and fishing trips in Ohio; traveling, especially to Mexico; gardening at the community garden; trains, models as well as the real ones; and football, more specifically, Ohio football.

Ken was the very proud father of 3 children, Patrick Laughlin, Maricopa Ariz., M. Seth Laughlin, Spokane Wash. and Katlyn Fleshner, Okemos, Mich.

Ken is survived by his wife of 46 years, Audrey Jones Laughlin, his 3 children, and 7 sweet, funny grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Stephanie Miller Dalton OH; his brother, Larry of Peachtree City, Ga. and many, many nieces and newphews. 

Memorial services will take place next summer in Ohio.
