Residents may see refuge smoke plume

CHENEY – Turnbull National Wildlife Officials are planning low-intensity fires through May to clear dry grass and debris ahead of wildfire season.
Officials do not have a set burn schedule, as activity will be dependent on weather conditions.
Turnbull officials said residents may see smoke plumes during the burns, but insist the low-intensity fires will be help reduce wildfire risk in the region.
