CHENEY — The Police Department on Tuesday, March 12, released its call statistics for February, providing an overview of incidents responded to by law enforcement here.
City police recorded 621 calls for service from Tuesday, Feb.1, to Friday, March 1.
Among the various call classifications, traffic stops topped the list with 175 incidents, followed by suspicious circumstances with 40 reported incidents.
Additionally, there were 30 welfare checks, 24 instances of 911 hangups and 20 calls for agency assist.
Several other incidents were recorded, including reports of domestic violence with 12 calls, assault with seven calls and burglary/alarms also with 12 calls.
There were no reports of firearm violations or bomb threats during the period.
Enforcement actions undertaken by the Police Department included responses to driving under the influence with 10 incidents, protection order violations or service with 14 incidents and theft with 14 incidents.
Additionally, there were five calls to keep the peace and six for incorrigible juveniles.
While some incidents, such as traffic stops and suspicious circumstances, saw higher frequencies, others remained relatively consistent throughout the reporting period.
