Cheney's top police officer, dispatcher recognized

Christianson, Huntsman selected

CHENEY – The Police Department recognized two employees last week.

Anthony Christianson was named Officer of the Year. And James Huntsman was named Dispatcher of the Year.

Christianson couldn’t be reached for comment prior to deadline.

But Huntsman said he was honored to be recognized. “It’s cool to see that your work means something,” he said. “I like being able to give back to my community. I like to be helpful.”

Huntsman, who lives in Cheney, said he enjoys working in a friendly community.
