Lancers earn a gold, a silver and a bronze

SPOKANE – Three Liberty boys brought Top 3 medals home from the M2 Mallett wrestling tournament on Saturday, Dec. 23, at Rogers High School.

Wrestling at 175, Liberty teammates Clae Holling and Joey Matherly faced off in the title bout, with Holling claiming gold and Matherly silver.

At 150, Maddex Strobel brought home a bronze medal.

Holling and Matherly came faced different competitors on their way to the championship bout.

Holling received a buy and then pinned three opponents – Timofey Basargin of Mary Walker in 59 seconds, Tayevius Allen of Rogers in 5:39 and Benson Osborne of Lake...
