CHENEY – The old saying, “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger” certainly applies to the Eastern Washington men’s basketball team following their third consecutive loss to open their season.

Playing a rugged schedule of “Power-5” conference schools, the defending Big Sky Conference champions suffered a third straight loss Nov. 12 to the Cincinnati Bearcats, 85-73 on the road.

Earlier in the week the Eagles were beaten 75-64 by Ole Miss in Oxford, Nov. 10 and opened their schedule with a 101-66 loss at Pac-12 Utah, Nov. 6.
