Launch into Fall draws large crowd

LIBERTY LAKE – Area residents swarmed to the Liberty Launch Academy at 2110 N Molter Rd. on the afternoon of Oct. 28 to take part in the second annual Launch into Fall event.

Organizers said the event was a big success, and they were extremely pleased with the turnout they got.

Kids in costumes were able to enjoy an afternoon filled with pinewood derby racing, fall themed games, bounce houses, apple slingshots, pumpkin tossing trebuchets, food trucks, bed races and more.

According to the school secretary it is important for the school to host events that engage the community.

It also helps people learn about the school she said. The Liberty Launch Academy is a private kindergarten through 12th grade school based in Liberty Lake. They teach all of the major fields of study.

According to the secretary the students do book learning through part of each day, and then break off to participate in activities in which they apply the lessons to scenarios.
