Keep council consistent

I first met Vince Barthels in a public hearing more than 20 years ago and since have become well acquainted with him.

We were both environmental scientists and consulting wetland experts. I have a great deal of respect for Vince based on his professionalism, integrity, knowledge base and critical thinking ability.

Vince is and has been employed by a leading civil engineering company for nearly 25 years in the Spokane area.

Cheney deserves Vince’s continued leadership on the city council because he has a great deal of knowledge of public infrastructure. He respects public process and he is fiscally conservative.

Vote for Vince Barthels for consistency on the city council and a continued resiliency across our community.

Long running for Paradise, not Cheney

To all City of Cheney Voters…. Rebecca Long is running for Cheney City Council to ensure her Paradise Development (Paradise LLC.) is fully approved.

Our current City Council was clearly split on this issue because her develop is located outside city limits, would need extended water and sewer, and would cost taxpayers a considerable amount of money to make the necessary traffic/street improvements.

Our water is already limited.

Why would we push our water outside of the City limits?

In addition, the Paradise Road and HWY 904 connection is a terrible intersection because of the train track.

Normal Park Road is a half street owned and maintained jointly by Spokane County and the City. If this development goes in with 60 homes over 10 acres, the only people benefiting from this development will be Rebecca Long and the rest of her development group.

We do not need City Council members with a personal agenda, especially one that would cost our community a great deal of infrastructure costs.

Don’t fall for Rebecca’s “transparency” cries, especially when she is not being transparent about why she is running for City Council. Our community needs Councilmembers that look out for the City as a whole.

Vincent Barthels is a well- respected current councilman that has a proven track record of getting results for the betterment of the City. Please join me in voting for Vincent Barthels, for City Council Position # 2.
