Cheney and Ridgeline battle for the ball

CHENEY - Playing a scoreless first quarter in their Homecoming football game Oct. 6 against Ridgeline was short-lived for the Cheney Blackhawks.

The Falcons (4-2 GSL, 4-2 overall) exploded for 37 points in the second quarter en route to a 46-6 win at Tom Oswald Field.

The teams traded possessions through the first quarter, but Ridgeline scored on the first play of the second quarter with the first of three Brayden Allen touchdowns.

An interception on Cheney's first play from scrimmage on their next possession gave Ridgeline the ball on the Blackhawks' 16 and it took the Falcons just one sn...
