David Berne Barnard
David Berne Barnard passed away on Aug. 28, 2023, shortly after reaching his goal of celebrating his 100th birthday.
He was the 2nd of 3 children born to Burton and Dorris Barnard. He graduated from Reardan High School in 1942 and entered military service in 1943.
He served in Italy, France, and Germany, including the Anzio Landing, the Southern France Landing and up to Berlin with the Army Combat Engineer Corps.
He was honorably discharged in November of 1945 and married his high school sweetheart, Doris Mae Nielson on Dec. 2, 1945.
