Community Service:  Cheney School Board, last 2 1/2 years, President. Big Brothers and Sisters, Cheney Scholarship Association, President. West Plains Little League Coach and Sponsor, Habitat of Inland Northwest Volunteer and Sponsor, Annual Mission Trip to Tijuana Mexico to build houses, Past SYSA Soccer Coach, Proclaim Liberty Non Profit Housing, Vice President. Past Treasurer Cheney High BlackHawk Booster Club. First Presbyterian Church Elder, Foster Parents of Spokane Past member. 

Education:  Cheney High School 1978, SFCC 1980, EWU , BA in Finance 1982

Family: Married to Kris Swenson, All 5 of my daughters graduated from Cheney High School. A total of 20 of my  Family Members have attended Cheney Schools.

1. Do you support the state mandated comprehensive sexual health education?  Why or why not? I support our parents right to choose what may may be best for their children. If parent has questions concerning what is being taught in Cheney Schools they should reach out to see exactly what is being taught.   

2. Do you support the implementation of social-emotional learning?  Why or why not?  I do support our kids getting the very best education that we 

can deliver at Cheney Public Schools. Our staff, teachers and administrators do an amzaing job in delivering not just one type of learning. 

3. If faced with another pandemic situation in which the state mandated vaccines for school workers, how would you vote and why? A mandate is  requirement of the State.  School Board Member  must follow State Law and do it with the children we care for in mind.
