Disclaimer: The following questions were answered by candidates in 100 words or less. We do not edit the answers, other than to enforce the word limit.

1. As a supporter of Teamsters Local 690 and the EMTs, Paramedics, dispatchers, and ambulance mechanics, will you be investigating measures to improve the police department?

As Cheney's next City Councilwoman, I support measures that advocate for all our first responders, including but not limited to increased staffing, competitive wages, and local recruitment efforts. Last May I had a nasty accident that could have cost me the use of my legs. If it hadn't been for the quick response time aided by our Cheney dispatch, professionalism and compassion exhibited by Cheney PD, and the expert care received by the AMR employed EMTs, I wouldn't have been walking in the Rodeo Parade this year. Cheney PD deserves the support of the City Council and our Cheney Community.

2. Given his connection to agricultural supply companies in the area, do you feel your opponent has experience you do not? Cheney is a diverse community with members from all different backgrounds and expertise. My commitment to serving all my constituents, my background as a Science Educator, as well as my desire and ability to listen will serve our whole community well. Whether it is kids learning about Earth Science, construction workers at an environmental remediation site, residential development site, or students in my Dinosaur Paleontology class, my experience enables me to listen, adapt and communicate with people of all backgrounds.
