CHENEY – A free concert held at Sutton Park on July 12 helped introduce some adoptable dogs to potential families. This was the kickoff show for the Cheney Parks and Recreation Summer concert series.
Dozens of residents gathered in the park to hear Steve and Kristi Nebel from Tacoma play Americana music as the dogs rolled in the cool evening grass.
According to Cheney's Recreation Director Kelly McGinley Ashe, the turnout was good.
"It was good to see the crowd sitting and enjoying the music," McGinley Ashe said. "It was really great seeing the families gather to see the dogs also."
