Rick Prentice
Jan.17, 1955 – June 24, 2021
Rick Prentice, aka the master fisherman of Fish Lake just outside of Cheney, Wash., passed away on June 24th, 2021, at the age of 66 from pancreatic cancer.
Rick was quite the character - he was creative, kind, generous, and funny around family and his fishing buddies. He had a great sense of humor and was always cracking jokes. He was also a maintenance worker at Spokane Airport, where he made sure the planes could take off and land by maintaining the runway during snowstorms.
In his free time, Rick loved nothing more than to travel and fish his heart out. He was a devout Baptist who worshipped at a local church.
Rick is survived by his son Matt and daughter Alex. We will all miss him dearly and treasure the memories we have with him.
In accordance to Rick's wishes, his ashes will be spread at Fish Lake. Rick, we may have to let you go, but your kindness will live on forever as well some of those whopper fish tales.
