SPOKANE VALLEY – According to reports an area man died after an exchange of gunfire with Spokane County Sheriff’s Deputies on June 4 shortly before 12:30 in the morning. The shooting happened in the 6300 block of E. Broadway Ave. when deputies were working to locate a wanted suspect.

Shortly after arriving in the area, deputies encountered the man and there was an exchange of gunfire according to records. During the exchange of gunfire, the male was struck.
