United Methodist Church’s Babylon event

Cheney Free Press

CHENEY — The church is hosting a summer event for families called Babylon, to be held at 204 Fourth Street from

August 20 to August 24.

Families will be able to step back in time at the Babylon event, coordinators say, exploring Daniel’s adventures in a foreign land. Children and adults will be able to participate in a Bible-times marketplace, sing songs, play teamwork-building games, eat into Bible-times snacks, visit Daniel, and collect Bible memory-makers.

“Participants will learn to look for evidence of God all around them through something called God Sightings.” Coordinators say.

Each day concludes at “Celebration”—a time of worship that gets everyone involved. Children entering first grade and fifth grade this year are invited to sign up.

The church will open with a free family dinner followed by a program. The Babylon program will run from 5.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. each day. For more information, call Cheney United Methodist Church at 509–235-4600
