Department presents monthly highlights

CHENEY - Police department begins highlighting officers in a monthly program for the community.

This month, Officer Anthony Christianson is highlighted in a Cheney police press release.

Christianson began his law enforcement career with the Eastern Washington University Police Department in 2018, and he was hired by Cheney police in 2019.

In his time at the Cheney department, he has specialized and become certified as a Firearms Instructor and a Field Training Officer.

Christianson has always wanted to serve and be apart of this amazing community, he said.

Christianson's goals include continuing to better himself as an officer and have a positive impact on those around him, day in and day out.

Christianson is recognized by his colleagues as passionate about serving and being involved with the community in and out of uniform. He is often described by his peers and patrol partner as the calm in the storm; compassionate, and courageous.

"Since being hired at CPD, Officer Christianson has become an invaluable asset to our team. We are extremely thankful to have him and to watch as he continues to grow into an amazing leader within our department." Cheney police department press release.
