Crash blocks traffic on U.S. 195

Trailer lodged atop highway's Jersey barrier

A pickup truck stuck and flipped over a Jersey barrier Friday evening, March 10, prompting officials to close U.S. Highway 195 about 2 miles north of Spangle while the vehicle was righted and the scene was cleared.

SPANGLE - Traffic was halted two miles north of town Friday night, March 10, following a crash on ice-covered U.S. Highway 195.

Nobody was injured in the crash, but the highway was closed for cleanup.

According to the Washington State Patrol, the driver of a black Ford F-150 pickup towing a trailer attempted to pass a snowplow on U.S. Highway 195 at about 8 p.m.

The patrol did not release the driver's name.

The truck slid and slid off the rodway, Trooper Ryan Senger said.

The vehicle struck the Jersey barrier and overturned onto the shoulder, Senger said.
