Local British artist gains dual-citizenship

CHENEY – British born and raised multi-media artist Anne Seacrest achieved dual citizenship late in 2022 after having moved to the U.S. four years ago.

"I met my husband, who is a U.S. citizen, online about five years ago, and we decided to start the immigration process shortly after that." Seacrest said.

Seacrest said that she has been an artists since she was very young, and has produced art in a wide range of mediums.

From stained glass, oil paintings, and watercolors, to paint and woodworking, Seacrest has experimented with many types of art, and continues to expand her repertoire.

"I am thinking about turning the stained glass art into a business, but I'm not certain yet." Seacrest said.

Stained glass art is the latest medium to be introduced to the artist's pallet, and her workshop houses a collection of varied glass types which may one day find their way into a finished piece.

"You just pick them up where you can and hold on to them." Seacrest said. "This one here," she holds aloft a piece of blue patterned glass, "is quite rare actually. So I couldn't part with it."

Featured here are several pieces from Seacrest's collection, including paint and glass mediums.
