Rich was born on Apr. 2, 1965 at Clark Air Force Base in Luzon, Philippines to Hal and Betty Reid. On Oct. 24, 2022, he left this earthly planet to pursue his greatest adventure yet! He lived his 57 years to their fullest and he will be greatly missed by many.

Shortly after his birth, his family moved to Medical Lake, Wash. where he spent his next 53 years. He always loved sports, both playing them and watching them. He was considered a "jock" and played football and basketball for Medical Lake High School. He had many fond memories of his high school days.

Rich obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Eastern Washington College.. His communications skills plus his love of people assured his success in any career. He could sell almost anything, and he did. To list a few, Rich sold cars, motorcycles, Boyd's Coffee and cemetery plots. The later was probably the only thing he wasn't so good at.

He found that his greatest job satisfaction came from working with developmentally disabled people. He worked for Lakeland Village for 18 years and formed many meaningful relationships with his clients, especially Kenny Monroe. One of his favorite activities to do with the clients was to go fishing and would take them out whenever he could. The love and trust were mutual between Rich and the people of Lakeland Village.

He enjoyed singing karaoke, going to blues festivals, shooting pool, drinking beer, telling stories, camping, watching sports and participating in most any outdoor activity, especially fishing!

Rich loved cars and motorcycles and it was his love for all things "biker" that led him to meet the love of his life, Holly Batt. They may have worked and lived in the same town, but they didn't meet until they attended the biker gathering, The Testy Fest at Rock Creek, Mont. in 2000. Their love and spirit of adventure would later bring them to Hot Springs, Mont. in 2019.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, Hal and Betty and is survived by Holly Batt, brothers Gary (Patty) and Harold and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of his life will be on Dec. 10, 2022 at 1:00 at the Montana Bar in Hot Springs, MT.

We miss you Rich Reid!
