I wonder if it has always been this way?

I bow down in gratitude to the boughs of the trees.

Autumn moon bathes the world below

in golden light

Crisp morning air adorns all objects

with shining delight

Sleepy sunlight breaks through the clouded sky

While creatures awaken, stretch and yawn

and cry
