CHENEY – Annual controlled burns of overgrowth and designated areas in Turnbull wildlife reserve begin. "This is a large program, and we don't actually manage them. Land management agencies like Turnbull will do prescribed fire burning, and sometimes we'll help with them. But we don't supervise them." Division Training Chief Power said

"We did send two of our members over to Turnbull when they were doing these burns, for training."
