John Nicholas Boyd

Sept. 13, 1954 – Sept. 2, 2022

John Nicholas Boyd entered into eternal peace on the morning of Sept. 2, 2022. He was a beloved son of Anne and Richard Boyd, and brother to Deborah Joyner, Patricia Joyner, Dianne and Bob Sanders, and James and Alyssa Boyd. After an extended illness, he passed away surrounded by his loving family in Cheney, Wash. Through the years, John lived a beautiful life full of spiritual and intellectual study, sharing his peace and wisdom with his parents, siblings, and many nieces and nephews. John said, "Be grateful for all that you have, and for all you have experienced. Life is itself a great gift, be grateful for each moment. Even unpleasant, painful experiences teach us valuable lessons. Find the meaning within the pain. Be grateful for all you have, for you are only borrowing them in this world. Do not become attached to material things of this world. Be grateful for their use, then pass them on. Let others share in your bounty. We are all wealthier than we are willing to admit." John was a one-time monk, a student, a teacher, a caretaker, a gentle dog lover, a loving family member, and a friend to all who knew him. We will miss him more than words can say.
