AIRWAY HEIGHTS-The Spokane International Airport (SIA) hosted a full-scale emergency exercise on Wednesday, June 22, required every three years by the Federal Aviation Administration.
SIA Director of Marketing and Public Affairs Todd Woodward said the event's objective is to provide the airport's Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting Department and other first responders a "refresher course" on what to do and protocols for working with external agencies in case of an actual emergency.
