CHENEY—The city of Cheney’s Clean Sweep event on Saturday, April 23 saw more than one hundred local residents turn out to help beautify the community. The popular event has been going on in Cheney for more than a decade.
“It was our 15th annual clean up day,” said GIS/Permit Tech Susan Beeman with the Cheney Planning Department. “We had a bout 170 citizens participate. There were several church groups and businesses that put together teams to come out and pick up litter.”
