CHENEY – A local boy and girl will be crowned Homecoming King and Queen during the halftime show of the home football game Friday night.

The crowning will be among the highlights of the annual Homecoming celebration here.

Seniors Ben Rowe and Jenna Mansfield will be crowned king and queen, respectively.

The remaining 2021 Homecoming Royal Court includes senior princes Luke Hurd and Noah Jackson and senior princesses Grace Hammermeister and Tomei Vega.

The Duke is Sam Laughton and the Duchess is Emily Hammel.

For the junior class, princes are Matai Jarms-Odood, Darius Jennings and Owen Scott. Princesses are Mika Corneil, Sam Habbeger and Grace Larson.

For sophomores, the princes are Zachary Cox, Jeremiah Hubbard and Evan Stinson. Princesses are Joy Assonken, Alexis Miller and Kendall Pope.

Freshmen princes are Kadence Adams, Cameron Frenk and Kaidan Vollan; princesses include Emma Ayers, Satori Just and Alyssa Marlow.

The royal coronation takes place at halftime of the first football game ever between the Ridgeline Falcons and Cheney Blackhawks.

The new school from Liberty Lake features an all-underclassmen team.

Kickoff of the "White Out" game is at 7:30 p.m., at the conclusion of a tailgate party that starts at 5:30 p.m.

The event is among the culminating activities of the 2021 Homecoming, which began last Friday with Spirit Week.

Friday's theme was Candy Land Day; students were asked to wear blue for the football game.

Activities continued Monday with Jumanji Monday, where students were asked to wear a tropical-style shirt or dress like a tourist.

Students got the chance to show their patriotic spirit on "Guess Who Tuesday!" by wearing red, white, and blue.

On Game of Life Wednesday, students were encouraged to wear college, career or military gear.

On Battleship Thursday, students will be wearing their class' "Choose Greatness" shirt.
