A striking new look comes to Cleone's Closet

Clothing giveaway is June 16. Cleone's Closet, in conjunction with The Heights Church and with help from Amazon will conduct a free clothing giveaway on Wednesday, June 16. The event takes place from 4 to 6 p.m. at 1273 W. 14th Ave. (next to Edward Jones Investments office) in Airway Heights. For further information call (509) 321-7071.

AIRWAY HEIGHTS - Not unlike almost every business or organization on the planet over the past year-plus, Cleone's Closet and Food Pantry, has had its share of challenges.

But if nothing else, Mable Dunbar's effort to help the less fortunate on the West Plains, will have a new look and awareness from passing cars in the years ahead following a June 3 day of volunteering.

Thanks to the efforts of Leadership Spokane, Cleone's will sport a new exterior paint job that will certainly make it stand out amongst the other storefront buildings along U.S. Highway 2.
