Cheney Community Church

Cheney Community Church welcomes you to attend worship with us. We are open for in-person worship, Sunday mornings at 10 a.m. Masks are required and social distancing practiced to be in compliance with the state’s order. The children meet for worship during the main service, and nursery care is available. For those who cannot attend, the service can be viewed on Face book. Pastor Trevor Jensen is presenting a series of messages from the New Testament book of Colossians Come join us.

Youth Group meets on Mondays at 6:30 p.m., and AWANA boys and girls club for kindergarten through high school is Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. For information regarding other activities, please call the church office, 509-235-4841.

Cheney Congregational Church

Greetings from Cheney Congregational. Join us for in-person worship on Sunday mornings at 10 a.m. Masks, social distancing and other precautions are in place so that we can take care of our community.

Our sermon series is “7 Hebrew Words Every Christian Should Know.” Join us to see how knowing the ancient Hebrew language helps illuminate scripture in fresh ways. We hope to see you there!

Emmanuel Lutheran Church

Emmanuel Lutheran Church invites the community to worship with us this Sunday, May 2 at 10:30 a.m. All are welcome.

Emmanuel’s Free Community Pantry is open to the community 24/7 and all are invited to take what you need and leave what you can. Non-perishable food and personal care items for all ages are greatly appreciated. Thank you for your continued support of this important ministry to our neighbors in need.

St. Paul’s Episcopal Church

A welcoming haven, nourishing all God’s people in body, mind and spirit. Holy Eucharist is at 11 a.m. Rev. Kathryn Lamphere, our vicar, will preach and preside. Because of the pandemic, the service will be an abbreviated version but include all the necessary prayers. The congregation will receive the bread and wine.

All safety and sanitizing measures will be strictly observed, in particular wearing masks and keeping social distancing. All are welcome.

The memorial service in honor of our deceased priest, Rev. Christine Soule, is postponed, and will be rescheduled later, to be held at St. John’s Cathedral. We will keep you informed.

United Methodist Church

You are invited to worship with us this week at the United Methodist Church. Pastor Pat Sleeth will continue the sermon series, entitled “The Heart of the Matter,” based on the first Epistle of John. This series focuses on how we can live out Jesus’s basic commandment to love one another no matter what. Since it is the first Sunday of the month Holy Communion will be celebrated during the service.

Our doors remain closed but our hearts and hands remain open.
