Library online programs include Harry Potter, Hamilton and smoothies

SPOKANE – The Spokane County Library District is keeping summer cool and online with programs and events designed for just about everyone.

Many of these programs require registration, with supplies available for some able to be picked up at local branches. A few of these programs will be streaming live on the District’s Facebook page.

Programs include:

 Bubble-mania – all ages Tuesdays, July 21 and 28, 2–2:30 p.m.

 Mythical Mysteries: Six Creatures That Never Lived (Online) – ages 7 and up, Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2–3 p.m.

 Science & Stories with Mobius Science – ages 5 and up, Thursday, July 24, 2–3 p.m.

 Aliens & UFOs: What Is Really Possible? (Online) – ages 8 and up, Friday, Aug 14, 2–3 p.m.

 Magic Tricks & Secrets Live (Online) – ages 7 and up, Thursday, Aug. 5, 2–3 p.m.

 Hamilton: An American Musical Party – ages 10 and older, Friday, July 17, 6–7 p.m.

 Summer Smoothies – ages 10 and older, Thursday, July 23, 2–2:30 p.m.

 Extreme Science: Forces & Motion (Online) – all ages, Thursday, July 30, 2–3 p.m.

 Virtual Trivia: Harry Potter & Hogwarts – all ages, Friday, July 31, 6:30–7:30 p.m.

 Watermelon Salsa – all ages, Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2–2:30 p.m.

 Online Author Talk with Peter Brown – all ages, Thursday, Aug. 6, 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.

 Create a Fairy or Gnome House – all ages, Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2–2:30 p.m.

 Creative Tween Workshop: Marbling with Oil – ages 10 and up, Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2–2:30 p.m.

Also, Online Camp Read-a-Rama has a few more sessions coming up. This online camp is designed for kids entering grades 2–5 and they explore stories, crafts and songs.

Camp runs Monday – Thursday for 1.5 hours per day and times vary each week. Sign up is available online at the library district’s page under Camp—Read—A—Rama.
