Cheney's new boundary busing

The Cheney School District Transportation Department has implemented a new routing software to streamline the routing of school buses. According to an announcment on the district website, it is imperative it has the most up to date address where students will be accessing a Cheney school bus.

The district requests anyone affected by boundary revisions please call the transportation office for new busing information. Any families whose addresses have changed or parents who think the district may have an old address are encouraged to call their child’s school secretary to update their address as soon as possible.

Any student attending school outside of their attendance boundary will be required to provide their own transportation.

Students who were walkers, Sunset students going into the sixth grade or any student who did not ride a bus the previous year and wishes to be bused this year must complete the Busing Registration Form 674 and return it to their school as soon as possible if they have not done so already. Westwood students going into the ninth grade are urged to contact the Transportation Office for busing information.

The Transportation Department will accommodate one pick up and one drop off address per student. All alternate destinations will require a bus pass from the child’s school.

If you have questions about previous or current bus information, please call the Transportation Office at 559-4523.
