The Sunday morning worship service starts at 10 a.m. in the church at 423 N. 6th St. in Cheney. Pastor David Krueger-Duncan will deliver the sermon. Following the service, we’ll be having a farewell party for our pastor who is retiring to Arizona June 2. Women’s Fellowship will be serving a taco bar lunch along with ice cream and toppings. Everyone who would like to join us in congratulating Krueger-Duncan on his retirement is invited to attend.

The Church will serve lunch to the kids at Crosswalk in Spokane at noon on Thursday, May 23. This is an important part of the church’s community outreach program.

The men of the church will meet for breakfast and stimulating conversation Sunday, May 26 at 7:45 a.m. at the Marketplace Bakery & Eatery on First Street in Cheney.

The choir will practice at 9 a.m. on Sunday, May 26. This will be the last choir practice until fall. For more information contact choir director, Kate Francis, at (509) 481-5234.

For your contemplation: “Do not pray for easy lives; pray to be stronger. Do not pray for tasks equal to your powers; pray for powers equal to your tasks. Then the doing of your work shall be no miracle, but you yourself shall be a miracle. Every day you shall wonder at yourself, at the richness of life which has come to you by the grace of God.”
