Cheney blood drive April 28

The Inland Northwest Blood Center, together with Cheney community volunteers led by coordinator Duane Isaac, will hold a blood drive on Friday, April 28, from 1:30 – 4:45 p.m. at the Marketplace Bakery & Eatery on First Street in Cheney.

INBC needs an average of 200 blood donors every day to meet the needs of more than 35 hospitals in the Inland Northwest. A single donation can save the lives of up to three people.

Book club meets April 25

The April meeting of the Cheney Community Library Book Club will feature a discussion of the book “A Land More Kind than Home,” by Wiley Cash. Book club member Debi Roccanova will lead the discussion.

The book club meets Monday, April 25, at 6:30 p.m. at the library, 610 First St. All are welcome to come and join in the discussion.
