StageWest wraps up season's first production

Auditions for December performances take place this Friday and Saturday

StageWest Community Theatre wrapped up its first production of the year, “The Charitable Sisterhood of The Second Trinity Victory Church” by Bo Wilson with an Oct. 15 dinner theatre catered by Mike Hartman. StageWest publicity director Nancy Kuonen said they had a great run with the production.

“We would like to thank Emmanuel Lutheran Church for their generous use of their building for our rehearsals and performances,” Kuonen said in a news release. “We would like to thank the cast and crew who gave so much time and effort to make this production a success. Special thanks to Randy Reid and Chuck Booth who came and helped set up and tear down sets along with their assistance with our light problems.

A special thanks to Mike Hartman for the delicious and inventive meal that he produced for our dinner theatre.”

Kuonen saved the biggest thanks for the audiences who came to watch “live theatre with all the bumps that go with it.”

This Friday, Oct. 21, open auditions for the next productions — Reader Theatre performances of the radio productions “The Littlest Angel” and “The Gift of the Magi” — take place at 6:30 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 22, at 10 a.m. Auditions will be at Cheney’s Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 639 Elm St.

StageWest needs several actors of any age along with singers and a pianist. For information contact Judy Gross at (509) 299-2649. Rehearsals start in November with performances the first two weekends in December.
