Cheney United

Methodist Church

The Inland District Superintendent, the Rev. Gregg Sealey, will be preaching this Sunday. He will be preaching on the storms that come into our lives and how we as a church can face them through faith in Christ. There will also be a special communion service. Pastor Alissa Bertsch Johnson and associate pastor Pat Sleeth will assist with the service.

At 9 a.m. there is a multi-age Sunday school class for children in grades kindergarten through fifth grade. A grief support group is also available at 9 a.m. based on the book, “A Grace Disguised” by Jerry Sittser.

Emmanuel Lutheran Church

Emmanuel Lutheran Church invites you to worship with us this Sunday, Oct. 16, at 10:30 a.m. You may also watch our pastor’s sermons at our website or on YouTube at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Cheney. Christian education for grades school through adults begins at 9 a.m.

All are welcome to visit Emmanuel’s Little Free Library and Free Community Pantry located at 639 Elm St. Donations of books, personal care items and non-perishable food items gladly accepted. Both are open to the community 24/7.

Four Lakes Community Church

Four Lakes Community Church is a non-denominational Village Missions Church. We exist to exalt the Lord, to educate and edify the saints and evangelize the lost. Sunday School for all ages begins at 9:30 a.m. and our worship service at 10:45 a.m. All are welcome.

Our current sermon series is entitled “Living in Grace in the Promised Land” by pastor Sean Carney. Our worship services combine contemporary choruses and traditional hymns.

Join us on Wednesdays for music practice at 6:30 p.m., Thursdays for AWANA at 6:30 p.m. for grades preschool through eighth-grade, Fridays for men’s breakfast and Bible study at 7 a.m. and a ladies bible study to begin on Oct. 18, every other Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. The men are studying “Fathered by God” by John Eldredge and the ladies “Daniel” by Beth Moore.
