STA, WSDOT hold open house Oct. 11 on West Plains transportation

Please join Spokane Transit Authority and Washington State Department of Transportation at an open house about transportation improvements near I-90 Exit 272, including the future West Plains Transit Center.

The event is drop-in style, so please come by any time between 4 – 6 p.m., Oct. 11, at Inland Power & Light Company, 10110 W. Hallet Road. Attendees will learn more about planned improvements for the area and have the opportunity to give important feedback.

American Legion prime rib dinner Oct. 14

Cheney’s American Legion post invites the public to a prime rib dinner on Friday, Oct. 14. The dinner begins at 6 p.m. at 116 College Ave.

Dinner is only $15 per plate. Tickets are available at the American Legion Post, but plates are limited. For more information call 235-6181.

Medical Lake Cub Scout sign up Oct. 17

Boys in first- and second-grades who are looking for fun, adventure and exciting new skills will want to be — Cub Scouts. Pack 307 in Medical Lake will be signing up new Cub Scouts on Monday, Oct. 17, at the Medical Lake Library from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. Come join the fun.
