Medical Lake city officials were focusing on water conservation measures as the drought month of August was approaching.
The city of Cheney notified Barry Miller that it wanted to purchase his land and have begun the condemnation process, which is the act of a government exercising its authority of eminent domain. The city wants to acquire all of the 140 acres of Miller’s and his brother’s own land to help buffer odors coming from the wastewater treatment plant.
