Lorraine (King) Schloss

Lorraine (King) Schloss passed from this world after a long fight with Alzheimer's disease on June 14, 2016. She was born Sept. 20, 1934.

She left behind her husband of 63 years, Floyd; three children, Dana, Kari and Curtis; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Wynnora (King) Willis and Rosetta (King) Dymond.

Lorraine met Floyd, her future husband, while attending Eastern Washington State College in Cheney. Both received their teaching degree from EWSC.

Preceding her to the afterlife were both parents, Mildred Linn and Samuel Rogers King, her sister Merilyn (King) Mohrmann and her brother Samuel King.

She was a sister, wife, artist, mother and school teacher at three schools. Lorraine was raised in Cheney, taught in Spokane, Taipei, Taiwan and finished her career in Raymond, Wash.

Lorraine will be missed by those whose lives she touched and her sense of humor, wit and charm will live on in our hearts.

At her request, there will be no service. Lorraine asked that those making a donation do so to a breast cancer research and cure charity.
