Cheney Fire Department Lt. Jeff Anderson monitors the progress of a fire deliberately set as part of the department's live-fire training exercise last Friday. The fire eventualy consumed a small vacant home on West Fifth Street. Crews from Cheney, Medical Lake and Spokane County Fire District 3 took part.
