CHENEY

Jan. 4

Second-degree burglary was reported on the 200 block of Betz Road. Tires from a storage unit were taken.

An adult/child was reported missing on the 2400 block of University Lane. A woman dropped off her child with her mother, the child’s grandmother. The grandmother contacted police and reported that last time she heard from her daughter was Jan. 5. The daughter may be in Stevens County.

Third-degree malicious mischief was reported on the 700 block of Salnave Road. There was graffiti on a stop sign.

Jan. 5

A 1991 Honda Civic was reported abandoned on the 1800 block of Third Street. Vehicle was impounded.

Cody E. Guilliams, 27, was arrested on a felony violation of court order on the 700 block of West First Street.

Jan. 6

Third-degree theft was reported on the 100 block of J Street. Textbooks and basketball shoes were taken from a vehicle.

Third-degree theft was reported on the 200 block of Betz Road. A sub-woofer was taken from a vehicle.

Suspicious circumstances were reported at Cheney High School. There was a dispute between teachers.

Jan. 7

Vehicle prowling was reported on the 700 block of West First Street.

Vehicle prowling was reported on the 700 block of West First Street.

Third-degree theft was reported on the 700 block of Villard Street. Tools were taken from a vehicle.

Vehicle prowling was reported on the 100 block of West Sixth Street.

Second-degree theft was reported on the 800 block of West First Street. A guitar and case and tool set were taken from a vehicle. The guitar and case were located.

Trespassing was reported on the 2800 block of First Street.

A bullying incident was reported on the 400 block of North Sixth Street on a school bus. Incident could also be a possible assault. An investigation is ongoing.

Residential burglary was reported on the 800 block of West First Street. A 40-caliber pistol and ammo were taken.

Third-degree theft was reported on the 200 block of South Cheney-Spangle Road. Cash was taken.

Jan. 8

Second-degree assault was reported on the 300 block of First Street.

Police assisted the Washington State Patrol and Cheney Fire Department on the 900 block of First Street with a person passed out in the parking lot at Zip’s.

A 15-year-old male and 15-year-old female were arrested at Cheney High School for possession of marijuana.

Vehicle prowling was reported on the 800 block of Chestnut Street.

Jan. 9

Third-degree theft was reported on the 1000 block of Betz Road. An iPad was taken but was later recovered.

Jan. 10

Ryan C. Anderson, 20, was arrested for a nuisance ordinance violation/loud party on the 300 block of Sixth Street.

Suspicious circumstances were reported on the 100 block of Fifth Street. There was a possible fight that turned out to just be noise.

Domestic violence/verbal dispute was reported on the 700 block of Second Street.

Harassment was reported on the 2300 block of University Lane.

Domestic violence/verbal dispute was reported on the 100 block of Holladay Drive.

MEDICAL LAKE

Jan. 4

A collision was reported at East Percival and North Stanley streets. A vehicle slid off the road and hit the side of railroad tracks. No injuries were reported.

A phone scam was reported on the 200 block of North Washington Street.

Jan. 5

Fraud was reported on the 400 block of North Stanley Street.

Jan. 7

Vehicle theft was reported on the 2300 block of South Salnave Road. A blue Honda Civic was taken. The vehicle was recovered later that day.

Jan. 8

A two-vehicle collision was reported on the 200 block of East Barker Street. No injuries were reported.

AIRWAY HEIGHTS

Jan. 6

Daniel S. Jones, 44, was arrested on the 1700 block of South Hayford Road for fourth-degree assault/domestic violence.

A stolen vehicle was recovered on the 12400 block of West 11th Avenue.

Luke K. Opperman, 30, was arrested at Highway 2 and Hayford Road for third-degree driving while license suspended (DWLS).

Nicole J. Jenecke, 40, was arrested at Highway 2 and Hayford Road on warrants for third-degree theft and third-degree DWLS.

Bryon R. Au, 33, was arrested at Hayford Road and 12th Avenue for third-degree DWLS.

Jan. 7

Wendy L. Thompson, 34, was arrested on the 100 block of North Hayford Road for possession of a controlled substance/methamphetamine and on warrants for obstructing a police officer and theft.

Devin J. M. Munsey, 22, was arrested on the 100 block of North Hayford Road for possession of a stolen motor vehicle.

Jeffrey J. Gapen, 52, was arrested on the 100 block of North Hayford Road for third-degree possession of stolen property, third-degree DWLS and failure to transfer a title within 45 days.

Jan. 8

Kisha M. Munson, 25, and Gabriel L. Williams, 29, were arrested on the 14200 block of West Highway 2 for possession of a stolen motor vehicle and possession of stolen firearms.

Jan. 9

Harlin R. Zimmerman, 64, was arrested on the 1200 block of West Hayford Road for third-degree theft/shoplifting.

A burglary was reported on the 10600 block of West 12th Avenue.

Spencer L. Nesman, 51, was arrested on 1300 block of South Ziegler Street on a warrant for fourth-degree assault/domestic violence.

A stolen vehicle was recovered at Hazelwood Road and 12th Avenue.

Jan. 11

Ryan L. Graham, 18, was arrested on the 12500 block of West Frank Street on a warrant for failure to appear on a reckless driving charge.

Second-degree theft was reported on the 12800 block of West Highway 2.

Jan. 12

A juvenile was arrested on a warrant on the 1300 block of South Ziegler Street.
