Hayden Homes has announced that 13 homes in Phase 1 of the Harvest Bluff housing development along Betz Road in Cheney have sold with eight lots remaining.

“We are opening up the next phase very soon — hopefully before the end of November,” Andrea Worley, regional marketing coordinator wrote in an email.

There will be an additional 24 lots in that phase Worley said.

Holiday Inn Express just storing the dirt

For those wondering if there is a new development taking place on the vacant land on the northeast corner of the Safeway Plaza, the answer is no.

The property, which has been set aside for future development, possibly a restaurant, is being used by construction crews working on the expansion of the Holiday Inn Express just to store extra dirt, Vandervert Development reports.
