Switch replacement work taking place Saturday, Oct. 17, in north Cheney will result in some scheduled power outages to a good portion of that section of the city.
Cheney’s Light Department will be replacing the switch and cabinet located at the southwest corner of the intersection of Betz Road and North Sixth Street. The switch was damaged last winter when a vehicle failed to negotiate the left-hand turn off Betz and, due to icy conditions, slid into the cabinet, causing a power outage.
