Eagles’ unbeaten soccer run comes to an end

The Eastern Washington women’s soccer team’s early unbeaten season came to an end Aug. 30 when they dropped a 3-0 contest to the University of California-Davis in a neutral site match in Portland, Ore.

After holding Davis to a scoreless first half Eastern gave up goals in the 46th, 76th minute and 86th minutes.

The Eagles fall to a 2-1-1 and prepare to host the University of Idaho in the start of Big Sky Conference play, Monday, Sept. 7 at home beginning at 3:30 p.m.

EWU volleyball hits road to New Orleans

The Eastern Washington University volleyball team will journey across the country to play four matches in the state of Louisiana, starting at the New Orleans Invitational Friday, Sept. 4.

EWU will play three matches in the Big Easy, taking on Providence and La Salle on Friday, before facing host New Orleans on Saturday, Sept. 5. Eastern wraps up its visit to the south with a road match at Southeastern Louisiana on Sunday, Sept. 6.

The Eagles (0-3) are coming off a tough opening weekend that saw them drop matches to Seattle, California and Nevada at the Molten Classic in Berkeley, Calif.
