Cheney United Church of Christ

Cheney United Church of Christ celebrates communion on Sunday, Sept 6, and on the first Sunday of every month. Services begin at 10 a.m. Communion is open to everyone. The lesson this week, led by pastor David Krueger-Duncan, is about Communion in the ancient church. A fellowship hour will follow. We hope you will join us. Everyone is welcome at UCC. If you are interested, join the choir. It is just getting started for the season. Weekly practices are at 7 p.m. each Thursday in the sanctuary. For questions about the choir, call Kate Sloan at 481-5234. Meet some members of the congregation for a potluck on Thursday, Sept. 10 at noon in the fellowship hall. The “Lunch Bunch” is an informal potluck group which generally meets the second Thursday of each month.

Emmanuel Lutheran Church

Emmanuel Lutheran Church invites you to worship with us this Sunday, Sept. 6 at 10:30 a.m. You may also watch our pastor’s sermons at our website emmanuelcheney.org or on YouTube at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Cheney. Adult education begins at 9 a.m. Rally Day is next Sunday, Sept. 13. Sunday school classes for grade school begins Sunday, Sept. 20 at 9 a.m.

United Methodist Church

Sunday morning worship is at 10 a.m. at the United Methodist Church and will include the celebration of Holy Communion. The Rev. Alissa Bertsch Johnson will begin a sermon series entitled “Set apart: Holy habits of prophets and kings.” Looking ahead, the fall schedule will begin on Sept. 13 with Sunday school classes at 9 a.m. followed by worship at 10 a.m. Children’s chime choir, the handbell choir and the chancel choir will all resume practice on Sept. 9.
