 United Church of Christ

Thanks are due to many people this month. Music director Kate Sloan has filled the vacancy as church coordinator, since Ashley Yerry is beginning her marketing career with a Spokane veterinary firm. Also, Donna Pearson is taking over leadership of the women’s fellowship from Dorothy Clark, who is starting her second year as council vice president. We appreciate the good work of all these ladies, and congratulate Ashley on her new job.

Summer worship continues at 10 a.m. in the sanctuary, with Sloan leading the hymn singing, followed by cookies and chatting in the fellowship hall afterwards.

United Methodist Church

Join us this Sunday at the United Methodist Church as we celebrate the ordination of our pastor, Alissa Bertsch Johnson. We will also welcome intern Stephanie Brady during the 10 a.m. service and the fellowship hour afterwards. Retired pastor, the Rev. Dr. George Abrams, will be preaching this Sunday and helping with the celebration of Holy Communion.

Sunday school classes are in recess for the summer months but please mark your calendars for Vacation Bible School, Aug. 16-20. Contact the church office for times and days of other study opportunities.
