Spokane County Sherriff's Office offers Citizens Academy

The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office and Spokane Valley Police Department are inviting residents to participate in their Citizen’s Academy, which begins Oct. 6.

According to a news release, residents will have a chance to learn from patrol deputies, detectives and other personnel about the services they provide to the community.

Citizens will also learn about the facts and procedures of the department.

There will be a total of eight session, every Monday night from 6-9 p.m. Attendees must pass a background check and attend seven out of the eight sessions.

Classes are held at the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office Training Center, located at 10319 E. Appleway Blvd. (inside the old University City Mall).
