West Plains Little League board member Tad Richardson, top center, gathers all the players ages 5-12 together for a call and response cheer of "We are - West Plains" during the league's 11th annual opening day ceremonies last Saturday at Cheney's Salnave Park ballfields. Richardson was named the first recipient of the league's Mike Paulson Volunteer of the Year award, named after board member Mike Paulson of Medical Lake, who passed away last Memorial Day weekend.
