Aug. 5
Carolyn M. Strand, 34, was arrested on the zero-hundred block of Cheney-Spokane Road on a warrant from the Department of Corrections for escaping community custody.
Aug. 6
A motor vehicle was reported stolen from River Park Square. The city of Spokane requested the Cheney Police Department take the initial report because the victim lives in Cheney and had called in the incident report from his home.
A residential burglary was reported on the 500 block of West Fifth Street. Access to the residence was unsuccessful.
A white Honda Civic was taken without the owner’s permission on the 700 block of West First Street.
Aug. 7
Levi T. Hanley, 19, was arrested for third-degree theft/shoplifting on the 2800 block of First Street.
Third-degree theft was reported on the 600 block of First Street. A Game Cube was taken.
Second-degree theft was reported on the 1000 block of Betz road. A laptop was taken.
A blue bicycle was found on the 2400 block of First Street.
Aug. 8
A suspicious circumstance involving Craigslist was reported on the 1000 block of Betz Road.
Aug. 9
A vehicle prowl was reported on the 200 block of Simpson Parkway.
A two-car, hit-and-run occurred on the 300 block of H Street.
Aug. 10
Third degree malicious mischief was reported on the 2700 block of North Sixth Street. School buses were damaged. A 14-year-old male, 13-year-old male and a 12-year-old male were arrested.
Ronald L. Ricci, 23, was arrested on the zero hundred block of Cheney-Spokane Road on a warrant from Spokane County for third-degree driving while license suspended (DWLS).
Third degree malicious mischief was reported on the 500 block of Second Street. A window was damaged.
Aug. 11
Trespassing occurred on the 2200 block of Marigold Circle. Four 17-year-old males, one 17-year-old female and one 16-year-old male were arrested for trespassing and giving false and misleading statements.
MEDICAL LAKE
Aug. 5
Officers followed up on a gas theft on the 100 block of South Lefevre Street.
A fraud report was taken on East SR 902 and North Stanley Street.
A fire in a trash can was reported on the 300 block of East Herb Street.
Aug. 6
Officers recovered a stolen boat and trailer that were burning on East Custer Lane and South Elk Ridge Lane.
Officers assisted with a fire near Eastern State Hospital on the 1300 block of South Lefevre Street. The officers contacted juvenile suspects and filed a report.
Aug. 7
A suspicious person was reported on the 13000 block of West First Avenue.
Aug. 8
A two-vehicle collision with minor injuries occurred on the 20800 block of West Sunset Avenue. Officers contacted both parties and took a report at the scene. One driver was cited for no proof of insurance and following too close.
Aug. 9
Felicia J. Wardell, 28, was arrested on a city theft warrant on West Brooks Road and North Lefevre Street.
Aug. 11
Officers took a report of a runaway juvenile on the 800 block of East Barker Street. The juvenile returned soon after.
A juvenile was arrested for a civil bench warrant on the 100 block of South Lefevre Street.
